Stalemate in 0

Most DR positions found yield stalemate after one move or more. However, there is a category where the diagram is immediate stalemate, which the last player is powerless (or almost) to relieve.

Suppose White is to move. One mechanism to generate pat in 0 is a phalanx of 16 White pieces at the top of the board, where pawns on the seventh rank hold everything down, and Black pieces cannot interfere, or uncapture.

Alternatively, the White king may be pretty much alone, embedded in a fortress of Black pieces, again at the top of the board. The Black pieces now lack manoeuvrability to usefully uncapture.
